Mold and Moisture
At MoldBuster, we specialize in Mold and Moisture. Mold can be harmful to your health. Our many years of dealing with people living in moldy conditions and seeing the health effects leave us zero doubt in our minds that Mold can do bad things to your body.
Getting Rid of It
To get rid of mold means several things. First you have to remove the conditions which are causing it to grow. This means moisture. The area must be dried out properly. The moldy materials must be cleaned if structural and removed if decorative and replaceable. We use a variety of different products to remove the growth including commercial fungicides, non toxic fungicides, and enzyme based non toxic cleaners.
We use a variety of equipment to dry out the structure from simple drying fans and dehumidifiers to our big BioDry System.
Cleaning doesn't just mean cleaning the surface. We also clean the air in the structure and the other surfaces. As soon as Mold is disturbed, it puts out billions of spores which travel to all parts of the structure. Removing those spores is part and parcel of any remediation. As part of any remediation, the structure is treated with an enzyme based product which literally digests the mold spores remaining on the surfaces.
NO BLEACH!
Bleach does NOT KILL MOLD ON POROUS SURFACES! If you want to know the technical reasons why, simply call us and we'll explain it to you (it is basic chemistry).
Preventing It
You can remediate all you want, but PREVENTION is key. As part of any mold job we work to prevent it from ever coming back (or growing in the first place). This means applying a preventative coating to all structures which can harbor growth, and preventing the build up of moisture. The coatings we choose to use are the lowest toxicity coatings on the market with full LEEDS 3.01 approval and a proven track history. We guarantee your structure will be mold free. This also means moisture prevention, whether it be the simple unblocking of ventilation or working with one of our partner contractors to add ventilation or correct structural defects. Our goal is to make sure you live in a mold free environment.

Concrete. It is a truly amazing product. This ubiquitous substance serves as the foundation for just about every structure in the country. It is solid, stable and beautiful. It also soaks up water like a sponge. If you have wet concrete walls, slab, or joint leaks, you will likely have mold growth. The average wet slab will put about 30 gallons a DAY of moisture into the air. What is worse, water coming thru concrete leaches minerals from the structure and rusts the reinforcing steel, weakening it. If you see white fuzzy stuff on the concrete, it is likely happening. We specialize in the PROPER sealing of concrete using the best concrete products in the world. When we are done, you will NOT have water problems. Even better, our products strengthen the concrete and help prevent reinforcing steel (Rebar) corrosion. Best of all, we do it from inside, which means no digging up the outside of your building, saving you thousands of dollars.
